Notes
Fraser was a Primary Teacher before he joined the Australian Permanent Army prior to the Second World War. During the war he served in North Borneo and was later with the Occupation Forces in Japan. He had a severe illness while in Japan, necessitating extensive surgery, which he narrowly survived.He died of a sudden coronary occlusion, and was cremated with full military honours at Springvale Cemetery.
Fraser married Evelyn Jean Brooks, of St. Kilda, on 28th. October, 193 9 and they had a son, Neil Donald, and a daughter, Jean Christine.
