Notes
Thelma worked at home on the family farm where her main occupation was cooking and house work, interspersed by milking cows and picking peas. Amid a family of healthy appetites she soon became quite a proficient cook.
After marrying Gordon Hamblin of Athlone, they settled at Poowong North, on a dairy farm purchased from Douglas and Davey. This farm was part of a tract of land (Allotment 43) which was once owned by Grandfather Richard Gregg and part of a Hawthorn hedge and some Pine trees, which Grandfather planted, still remain.
Her interests include handicrafts, gardening, children and all things connected with home making.
They have one son, John and two daughters, Beryl and Jean.
