The Epson PhotoPC colour digital camera is targeted towards the home and business user who want to capture real life pictures and add them to documents, newsletters, presentations and internet communications. The Epson PhotoPC 500 is ideal for business and home users who want to communicate more effectively. Pictures can be taken and used in business presentations, personal correspondence, newsletters, Christmas and Birthday cards, invitations, calenders and even school projects.

Images can be stored as JPEG, BMP or PCX files and allowing users to bring pictures instantly into documents or Web pages without wasting time or losing important data during file format conversions.

It takes pictures in 24-bit or 16.7 million colours for clear colour reproduction and has two settings that allow users to choose between high or standard resolution images, 640 x 480 dpi and 320 x 240 dpi respectively.

The Epson PhotoPC 500 base unit stores up to 30 high or 60 standard resolution images. Optional expandable memory modules are available to increase total storage capacity up to 100 high or 200 standard resolution images.

Superb digital image quality and full-featured camera performance come together in the new Epson PhotoPC 600 colour digital camera. Featuring an 810,000 pixel colour CCD and delivering 1024 x 768 XGA images, this exciting new camera makes high resolution digital imaging a reality. Storage capacity is high, with 4MB of internal memory that can be expanded simply by inserting an optional 4MB or 16MB CompactFlash® Card in the external memory card slot. As standard, it can hold 50 standard VGA, 16 Fine mode XGA or 7 Super fine mode XGA images. To make it easy to compose your shots, the Epson PhotoPC 600 has both a high-quality 2-inch TFT colour monitor and a real-image optical viewfinder.

The Epson PhotoPC 600 is equipped with a wide-angle lens that's ideal for business use. What's more, it gives you up to 3 x digital step zoom for even greater versatility. Macro mode is ideal for photos of product samples and other small items. And, because an A5 piece of paper fills the frame in Macro mode, you can use it in combination with Fine mode and Monochrome mode to make photographic copies of contracts and business documents.

Using the optional Epson Direct Print Kit, you can even print pictures directly from the PhotoPC 600 to an Epson Stylus Photo colour inkjet printer without a computer.
