A3 colour bubblejet printer, 360 x 720 dpi, 520 cps, which makes it perfect for CAD and DTP work. The optional BC-22 cartridge enables PhotoRealism printing. This trademarked Canon process is fast becoming the photo quality printing gold standard. Special low-density inks can vary the amount of saturation per pixel so that a single dot could have 0%, 33%, 67% or 100%. This produces up to four times as many colour combinations as conventional CMYK inks. The result is better half-tones and more subtle colour gradations, with almost no visible grain and dots, even in areas of low colour density.
