Capricorn Family
The performance characteristics of the Capricorn drive family make it ideal for entry server applications and desktop applications where high performace and capacity are required. Capricorn drives are suitable for many Audio/Video applications and can be optimised for use in this environment. The drives spin at 5400 rpm, have a sector servo, a media data rate of 6.1-9.7Mb/sec, an average seek time of 8.5ms, a 448k buffer and have PFA (SMART) and SCAM capability. Drives come with a 5 Year Warranty.

Scorpion Family
The Scorpion drive family is a new range intended for advanced storage applications which demand fast access to large amounts of data. The drives spin at 7200 rpm, have an EPRML channel, embedded sector servo, a 512k buffer and SMART capability. Media data rate is 10.3-15.4Mb/sec, with an average seek time between 7.5 - 8.5ms (depending on capacity of drive). Drives come with a 5 Year Warranty.
